WHere is a home-style version of a cocktail found on a new cocktail list. Designed as a party-sized premix which is loaded with essence of the Christmas time, making it ideal for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
For the Cordial: Combine the listed components in a pan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the heat allowing it to cool down fully. Decant into a sterilised bottle, seal keeping it in the fridge, where it will keep for around four weeks.
To make Batch Mix: Pour every liquid ingredients in a big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then strain , ideally through muslin, to ensure it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base into a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir gently for a minute until cold. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, top with the cranberries and finish with a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
